Free range pigsWe keep a small herd of free range pigs, which live in family groups. We take time each day to make sure each individual pig is happy and has everything it needs (including a scratch!). They live in large paddocks, grazing rye grass in summer and turnips in winter – growing slowly over an extended period to produce a dense, succulent meat full of flavour.

pastured chickensWe have a flock of 90 laying hens - to supply the veg box scheme. Because the flock is small, the chickens all know each other, and harmony reigns!
They live in insulated larch clad houses, and are rotated around the croft, fertilising as they go. The continuous access to fresh greens ensures that the egg yolks are as yellow as you've ever seen. |
